Biokil Crown Biodry DPC Cream - 1L
Professional Damp Proof Injection Cream for Rising Damp Control
Biokil Crown Biodry DPC Cream is a high-performance silane/siloxane-based damp proofing solution formulated to prevent rising damp in masonry walls. Delivered as a ready-to-use cream, it is injected into mortar beds using a standard caulking gun, where it penetrates deeply and reacts with the substrate to form a durable chemical damp-proof course (DPC). Ideal for brick, stone, and mortar constructions in both residential and commercial properties.
Key Features & Benefits
- Effective Rising Damp Control: Forms a long-lasting chemical barrier against moisture migration through masonry.
- Easy Application: Fits standard 1L skeleton guns – no special equipment required.
- Low Odour & Non-Hazardous: Safe and clean to use in internal environments.
- Deep Penetration: Silane-rich formula ensures thorough diffusion into porous materials for optimal protection.
- Suitable for Various Substrates: Compatible with brick, stone, blockwork, and mixed masonry walls.
Product Details
- Size: 1 Litre tube
- Form: Silane/siloxane-based cream
- Colour: White (becomes translucent as it diffuses)
- Coverage: Approx. 8–10 linear metres in 215mm thick solid walls (based on typical drilling patterns)
- Application Tools: Standard skeleton gun
Application Instructions
- Preparation: Drill 12mm diameter holes horizontally into the mortar joint at 120mm centres.
- Injection: Fill each hole from the back to the front in a smooth, continuous motion.
- Penetration & Cure: The cream will migrate into the substrate and form a chemical DPC upon curing.
- Finishing: Holes can be plugged and internal walls replastered using a salt-resistant render if necessary.
Limitations
- Do not apply to saturated or waterlogged masonry.
- Not suitable for use in timber or plasterboard substrates.
Health & Safety
Use gloves and eye protection during handling. Ensure adequate ventilation during application. Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full health and safety guidance.
