Flexible Two-Component Waterproof Coating for Foundations and Retaining Walls
Mapei Mapelastic Foundation is a two-component, flexible cementitious mortar formulated for waterproofing concrete surfaces exposed to ground moisture and water. Designed for foundation walls, retaining structures, lift pits, and concrete basements, it forms a continuous waterproof membrane that bridges cracks and resists water pressure from the positive side. Ideal for both new construction and refurbishment, it offers reliable long-term protection against moisture ingress in below-ground environments.

Application Instructions
- Substrate Prep: Ensure surfaces are clean, sound, and saturated surface-dry (SSD).
- Mixing: Pour Part B into a clean container and slowly add Part A while mixing to achieve a smooth, lump-free consistency.
- Apply First Coat: Apply with brush, trowel, or spray to the prepared surface.
- Apply Second Coat: After the first coat begins to set (approx. 4–5 hours), apply the second coat perpendicular to the first.
- Protection: Protect from rain and drying wind during curing. Cover externally with protection board or backfill only after full curing.
Limitations
- Do not use on substrates subject to dynamic cracking or severe movement.
- Not designed for use under continuous negative pressure or without protective finishes.
- Do not apply in temperatures below +5°C or above +35°C.
